B The Change
March is B Corp month, a time for companies like us to highlight how #WeGoBeyond when it comes to social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. While there are over 6000 B Corps, Pyrrha—certified since 2014—is one of only 45 worldwide in the jewelry space (far fewer actually manufacture jewelry). Companies that are certified to the B Corp standard lead the way in the business community by being better for the world. The idea is that through their products and practices, businesses should not only aspire to do no harm, but should benefit all.
The current environmental crisis makes it more critical than ever for us all to pull together and change how we operate as businesses and consumers. Business can be used as a force for good, but it isn't easy—it requires putting people and the planet before profit. Accreditations like our B Corp, Butterfly Mark designation, Responsible Jewellery Council, carbon-neutral certification, and 1% for the Planet membership all cost money and a tremendous amount of time and effort but we pursue them because they're important to us. We're trying to set an example for others in the historically toxic jewelry industry and to encourage change.
As a consumer, the best thing you can do is to ask questions and insist on transparency when it comes to the brands you support. Please help us to spread the word about B Corp so that together we can build awareness and spur companies to go beyond business-as-usual.
With gratitude,
Wade

This is Fantastic! I am impressed with the graphs/visuals you have shared. It makes me more aware, as a consumer, the areas I can work on. I am very proud to support a company that works so hard to create beautiful, conscious, jewelry and continues to achieve B Corp accreditation! Thanks for your openness and transparency.
